Hillcrest is on the old A36 midway between Newton and Chadwell (the old A36 runs just north of the present road at this point). Hillcrest Farm was built between 1927 and 1962, not shown on the 1927 OS map but present on the 1962 1:10560 one.
Hillcrest Farm was a dairy run by Geoff Dibdin. Brian Snelgar did a milk round with him, delivering to Landford during the week and Whiteparish at weekends - Geoff delivered to both all week.
In recent years (2018) Hillcrest Campsite has been a certified Camping and Caravan Club campsite for up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents. link.
